asked 21 women what they like best about their bodies. The stunning photographs in her resulting book symbolize every woman’s natural beauty. Step Ahead business advisor and mentor Donene Lashbrook, who has focused on results-driven
solutions for dynamic businesses looking for new markets for 30+ years, has recently become CEO
of the BestEverSleep Company, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of a drug-free sleep kit
for insomniacs.

The Nature of Diamonds
Past Step Ahead protégée Shelley Purdy, owner of The Shelly Purdy Studio is showing her platinum and gold diamond jewellery designs at the Royal Ontario Museum’s Nature of Diamonds exhibition
in the Diamonds Shop located in the Garfield Weston Hall. The exhibit runs until March 22, 2009.

Protégée Stefania Joy, Owner of Annex Property Group, has recently purchased a 38-unit apartment building located in Toronto’s High Park. 

On the Board
In April 2008, Step Ahead Executive Committee Member Susan Baka,  President of
Bay Communications & Marketing Inc. was appointed to the Minister of International Trade’s
Small & Medium Enterprises Advisory Committee where she represents the interests of women entrepreneurs and exporters.

Winning Again
Former Mentor Jane Tattersall, Tattersall Sound and Pictures who has accumulated over 75
awards in her 20 years of operation, won the 2007 Directors Guild of Canada Team Award Feature
